Blossom Trees Nursery is a well-established and popular day nursery located in Staveley, only a short distance from both Kendal and Windermere. We offer full daycare and pre-school education to children from birth to the age of five.
We also run a weekly Forest Session for all our Pre-school children, run by Primary School Teachers. These Sessions give the children a fantasic opportunity to have fun outdoors, enjoying the natural environment and learning and developing through holistic play. "Like a camping holiday every week!"
Your child can bring in packed lunches, or alternatively, we are happy to heat up hot meals for you. We provide the snacks throughout the day and milk is provided by us too.
The nursery has three rooms: one for babies up until the age of two, a two and three year old room and a further room for three and four year olds. Outside it has fantastic enclosed play areas and a play pavilion with for all weather outdoor play. The beautiful village of Staveley itself also offers play fields and an additional playground, a riverside walk and a forested area (see our seperate page for details of our forest sessions) - all within walking distance of the nusery, offering a superb range of outdoor play options for your child
Our long-serving and highly qualified team of staff contribute greatly to our 'stimulating and friendly nursery' (Ofsted EY399891). All our permanent staff have a level 3 or above and the nursery benefits from having 2 fully qualified primary school teachers and an Early Years Professional. We work within the guidelines of the New Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
We would be delighted to show you around the nursery - if you do want to visit, please contact Nick or Ellie at the nursery and we'd be happy to arrange a time.
We have just been vistied by OFSTED in Nov 2018 and received a 'GOOD'
"Children develop a close bond and secure relationship with their key person. They come into the nursery happily and readily separate from their parents and carers. Children's individual needs and parents' wishes are meticulously followed to ensure continuity of care" (OFSTED 2018)
"Partnerships with parents and other professionals are strong. Staff keep parents, carers and other professionals regularly updated with children's achievements. They continually share information about children's next steps to further support their learning and to meet children's individual needs successfully." (OSFTED 2018)
